The Bermuda Dollar is pegged to the US Dollar (1:1).

The most commonly accepted credit cards in Barbados are American Express, Barclaycard, Carte Blanche, Diners Club, Eurocard, MasterCard and Visa, these are all accepted at the major resorts, however cash is preferred in most places (either the local currency or the US Dollar). Check with your credit or debit card company for details of merchant acceptability and other services that may be available.
Travellers Cheques are accepted everywhere.
The import of local and foreign currencies are free, the export of local currencies is limited to BMD$250. Export of larger amounts requires specific permission.
The export of foreign currencies are free. Police and customs officers can seize cash if they believe it to me the proceeds of criminal activity.
